!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I saw this and was really tempted. This got me thinking about motorcycles.

I grew up in Southern California during a time when children were allowed to roam free in the neighborhood unsupervised like feral cats on bicycles. When I was between 8 and 10 years old (late 70s, early 80s), there was a kid in our neighborhood named Michael. I do not remember how it started, but we used to call him “Michael Michael Motorcycle” which drove him insane with rage for some reason, which made us do it all the more, until it became a singsong chant. I am not saying it is ok, but this is how it was back then. What we considered ordinary childhood fun would be considered child neglect and bullying today.

Anyway, for some reason I was thinking about Michael Michael

Michael Michael Motorcycle, wherever you are, you had it all wrong, and your name ruled.

My grand folks have a 1980's Honda CM450 Custom very similar to the image below. I wish so much they’d let me have it, but no. They say my uncle uses it, but I haven’t seen anyone ride it in 8 years.

I don’t know the market in CA, but $1,800 is too steep, it’s not in good shape. Even if it “never have”.

Michael Michael Motorcyle was some kind of song or rhyme thing.....we did it all the time on the East coast, too (don’t ask me how I know!).

I’d google it, but I have a proposal due this morning and don’t have the extra hour to waste online. Which reminds me, I need to close my Oppo window...
